The ship gangway is a special type of ladder used for the convenience of people getting on and off the ship. With the continuous progress and development of technology and manufacturing technology, the types of marine gangways have become more and more diverse.

The commonly used types of gangway are as follows:

a. Fixed type: This type of marine gangway is generally fixed in the ship's side. When it is needed, the marine gangway is moved out for personnel to get on and off. It is the most common type of marine gangway;

b. Mobile: This type of marine gangway is equipped with movable bottom pulley equipment, which can generally be folded and stored when not in use, and can be used as other support structures. It is a multi-functional mobile marine gangway;

c. Combined type: this type of marine gangway combines the design of marine fittings. Generally, it can be installed as other structures on the hull deck. When not in use, it is often used as a guardrail, stand, support rod, etc., and belongs to a multi-purpose marine gangway.

First, marine ladders are different from ordinary ladders in structure. There are several points for attention during the installation process:

First of all, before installation, the stairs should be opened according to the actual size, otherwise it will cause unnecessary troubles due to bumps during use;

Secondly, when installing the marine ladder, it is necessary to reserve a certain amount of space at the opening of the hole in advance, because the marine ladder is hung upside down on the floor by long screws during installation, and it needs to be fixed in a reserved place.
