Daily Inspection for Ship Anchor
(1) Check the wear and deformation of the anchor shackle, and pay attention to whether the cross pin is loose, and carry out inspection and maintenance.
(2) Pay attention to whether the anchor claw is bent, whether the rotation is flexible, whether the angle is normal, and check and maintain it.
The most vulnerable parts of the anchor are the anchor fluke (claws), anchor crowns, cross pins and anchor shackles.

The anchor claw may be bent and cracked, the gripping protuberance is easy to wear, the cross pin is easy to loosen, and the anchor shackle is easy to be worn and cracked. According to the requirements, the anchor pin is allowed to wear within 10% of the original diameter, and the weight loss of the anchor should be within 20% of the original weight.
When serious damage occurs or does not meet the requirements, the anchor should be replaced and the damaged anchor should be sent to the factory for repair.
(1) Usually use the left and right anchors in turn.
(2) Pay attention to whether the anchor chain mark is clear, if it falls off, it should be replenished in time.
(3) Check whether the swivel ring is flexible, and lubricate it in time.
